A kayak’s view of the Tall Ships Race 2011 Parade of Sail

I have a few blog posts queued up (so much kayaking, so little time!), but in the meantime, I thought I’d share a couple of photo albums relating to a special event held on the River Clyde: the concluding “Parade of Sail” of the 2011 Tall Ships Race.

Wow!!! Fantastic photos. The red arrows must be a fairly unusual ‘sighting’ from a kayak… and the Parade of Sail looked fantastic. I’m now getting increasingly excited about seeing the Parade of Sail in Shetland in a week and a half – but unfortunately I won’t be viewing it from my kayak.

I’m very glad you’ve started blogging again as I love reading your posts.

Thank you, Fiona. Hope you enjoy the ships when they get up to Shetland. It really was a special experience to watch them all float past so gracefully.
